Your CaterCoins live on the Rewards page of your account. You earn them by reviewing past orders and from bonuses like referrals. Once you’ve collected at least 1,000, you can turn them into a CaterCow coupon or an Amazon gift card. The video above walks through the whole flow, or follow the steps below.
100 CaterCoins are worth $1 as an Amazon gift card, or $1.20 as a CaterCow coupon. Values round down to the whole dollar, so 1,200 CaterCoins get you a $12 gift card or a $14 coupon. To see how many coins an order earns, see What are CaterCow Rewards?
Redeem your CaterCoins
1. From your Orders page, click Rewards in the menu on the left.
2. Your balance shows at the top of the CaterCoins list. Below it, each order you reviewed shows the coins it earned, and bonuses like a Referral Bonus are listed too, each with its date.
3. Check the box next to each order or bonus whose coins you want to use, or check Select All. You need at least 1,000 CaterCoins selected to redeem.
4. The Redeem Rewards panel shows what your selected coins are worth: here, a $14 CaterCow coupon or a $12 Amazon gift card. The coupon is a 1.2x Reward, so it’s worth more than the gift card for the same coins.
5. To get a coupon, click Redeem under the CaterCow coupon. Your new coupon shows up right away under Reward Coupons and Vouchers, with its code.
6. Click Copy to copy the code, then paste it at checkout on your next order.
How redeeming CaterCoins works
- You need at least 1,000 CaterCoins selected to redeem.
- A coupon is ready to use right away, and it works once, on any order you place.
- An Amazon gift card can take up to 48 hours to arrive.
- 100 CaterCoins are worth $1.20 as a CaterCow coupon, or $1 as an Amazon gift card. Values round down to the whole dollar.
Choosing an Amazon gift card instead
Click Redeem under the Amazon gift card, then choose the email address the gift card should go to — it doesn’t have to be yours. Gift cards aren’t instant: they can take up to 48 hours to arrive. Until then, the request shows under Reward Coupons and Vouchers. You can redeem up to $2,000 in gift cards at a time; if your selection is worth more, select fewer coins.
What if…
- Redeem is missing and I see a minimum message. You’ve selected fewer than 1,000 CaterCoins. Select more entries, or review your recent orders to earn more — they’re listed under Pending CaterCoins on the same page.
- An order I reviewed isn’t in the list. Reviews earn CaterCoins only within 60 days of the order date. After that, the order won’t earn coins, even if you review it.
- My coins disappeared. Coins you earn by reviewing an order expire 1 year after you submit the review, unless you’ve redeemed them by then. Bonus coins, like a referral bonus, don’t expire this way, and neither do coins you’ve already turned into a coupon or gift card.
- I want to see coupons I’ve already used. Check Show Redeemed at the top of Reward Coupons and Vouchers.
- I don’t see Rewards in my menu. Rewards aren’t turned on for every account. Email us and we’ll check yours.
