Every time you review an order, you earn CaterCoins — our name for rewards points. You can redeem them for:
- An Amazon gift card
- A CaterCow coupon toward a future order, which is worth more than a gift card for the same coins
Where do CaterCoins live and how can I redeem them? shows what your coins are worth and how to redeem them.
You earn 1 CaterCoin per $1 spent on the base price of the food (including any upcharges), or 3 per $1 if you signed up with a friend’s referral link. Sales tax, delivery fee, service fee, and tip don’t count toward earning. For example, an order with a $900 food subtotal earns 900 CaterCoins:
Once you submit a review for that order, its coins show up in the CaterCoins list on your Rewards page:
If the restaurant had no public reviews yet when you placed your first order with them, reviewing that order also earns a 2,000 CaterCoin bonus on top of your regular coins.
To collect your coins, open Reviews in your account and go to the Needs Review tab, which lists your recent orders. Why are reviews important? walks through leaving a review.
About 30 days after an order, if you haven’t rated it yet, it moves to the Skipped For Now tab, along with any order you skipped yourself. You can still review it from there, but an order only earns CaterCoins until 60 days after its order date.
Coins from a review expire 1 year after you submit it, unless you’ve redeemed them by then. Bonus coins, like the first-review bonus or a referral bonus, don’t expire this way.
Once you’ve earned some coins, open the Rewards page of your account to view and redeem them.
