How do I find the right restaurant for my event?

Use CaterCow’s search page to find restaurants by delivery address, date, headcount, and dietary or budget filters.

On this page

The CaterCow search page shows restaurants that can deliver to your event, or that you can pick up from, on the date you need, for the number of people you’re feeding, and within your budget.

Search and filter

1. At the top of the search page, set your delivery method, address, date, time, and headcount. Switch between Delivery and Pickup. Pickup shows only restaurants you can pick up from near your event address.

2. In the filter bar just below, choose a Search Type: Restaurants or Packages. The other filters turn on once you pick one. Then narrow results by presentation (Buffet or Individual), Group Order, and Meal Type (breakfast, lunch/dinner, appetizers, desserts). Cuisines show as a row of options above the results.

3. Click All Filters to open the full filter panel. Under Preferences you can filter by delivery radius, whether staff on-site setup is offered, minority-owned status, Favorited restaurants (only when you’re logged in), Sustainable restaurants, and Offers Deals for restaurants running a deal right now.

4. Under Budget, set a per-person price ceiling or a total budget for the group. Check Include tax, delivery fee, etc. to apply that ceiling to the all-in cost instead of the food price alone.

5. If you search the same way often, save your search from the results page. Next time, one click reapplies the same address, date, and filters.

What changes your results

  • If no restaurant on CaterCow delivers to your address, you see a message that the address is undeliverable instead of an empty results list.
  • Switching to pickup changes the default search radius and shows only restaurants with a kitchen near you that offers pickup.
  • Entering a headcount shows accurate per-person and all-in pricing, and hides packages that wouldn’t meet a restaurant’s order minimum for your group size.
  • How far ahead you’re ordering matters too. If a restaurant you want isn’t showing up or won’t let you submit, see How much advance notice do I need to place an order?
